Electric Servo Motor

In addition to the conical connection of the injection syringe, there is also an internal screw sleeve, so that there is a corresponding external screw in the molding and rotating screw core in the injection mold. Electric servomotors are ideal brakes that produce this rotation. Hydraulic cylinders are also available for this rotation. This power is transmitted from the brake to the rotary core mainly through gears and racks. Today, this concept can be used on multi-cavity molds up to 128 cavities. The higher cavity number is observed on a case-by-case basis and can be adapted and executed according to the customer’s requirements.

As mentioned above, electric motors are particularly suitable for the screw cores mentioned here, since electrically driven servomotors provide a reliable output with the lowest energy consumption. Also easy to maintain, these servo drives offer the highest precision and different levels of power control at all speeds. This also greatly reduces the risk of premature wear of mold parts. Based on this, customers can benefit from the highest quality of injection molded products and increase the running time. Unlike hydraulic systems, electric drives do not produce oil leaks, so this configuration is ideal for clean room environments.
