First, the selection of the mold is very important. When selecting the material, the mold should meet the customer’s requirements for product quality. In addition, we need to consider the cost and use cycle of the material of the mold. In addition to these main factors, This should include consideration of how the mold is used, the type of failure, the type, and the speed of the process.
Second, in the quality of the mold, the manufacture of the mold is also an important link. The service life of the mold is also affected by the processing method and the processing accuracy. The accuracy of each component will have a certain impact on the overall assembly of the mold. In addition to reducing the influence of precision, the method of improving the quality of the machining can be realized by improving the machining method of the parts.
Thirdly, when designing the structure, the mold should master some methods. For example, try to select some structural designs that are more compact and easy to operate, and also meet the requirements of mold strength and stiffness: if the mold structure allows As far as possible, the corners of the surfaces of the parts are designed to be over-rounded to reduce the influence of stress concentration; for some concave molds, cavities and cores, the stress concentration elimination should be designed as a combination or a split structure.
Fourth, when designing the mold, it should be narrowed down to the extent that it is necessary to disassemble a damaged part, especially for parts that are more prone to damage or wear, and to minimize the scope of disassembly.
