Rapid Prototyping Process

First, the construction of the 3D model of the product

Since the RP system is directly driven by the 3D CAD model, it is first necessary to construct a 3D CAD model of the workpiece being machined.

The three-dimensional CAD model can be directly constructed by computer-aided design software (such as Pro/E, I-DEAS, SolidWorks, UG, etc.), or a two-dimensional pattern of an existing product can be converted to form a three-dimensional model. Or laser scanning and CT tomography of the product entity to obtain point cloud data, and then using the reverse engineering method to construct the three-dimensional model.

Finally, the post-processing of the molded part.

The molded part is taken out from the molding system, polished, polished, coated, or placed in a high-temperature furnace for post-sintering, and further enhanced in strength.

The company currently operates seven plastics processing lines, including two injection molding systems for the production of models, three Welex extrusion systems for the production of sheets as commercial coils for sale, or for the use of two large Lyle thermoforming machines in the workshop. Thermoformed products produced by rPlanet Earth may include drinking cups, production packaging materials and plastic boxes, as well as the final production of any other food-grade thermoformed packaging products currently made of PET.
