Process Characteristics Of Metal Powder Injection Molding
The process of fabricating the workpiece by the metal powder injection molding process is simple, the production cycle is short, and the metal powder can be directly purchased from the milling factory, eliminating the processes of batching, mixing, pressing and sintering.
After injection molding, the workpiece (tool, mold, etc.) has a high tissue density and a hardness of 50HRC or more. If it is coated, the effect is better. The process also eliminates the heat treatment process and part of the mechanical processing, and requires less process equipment, low investment, and low energy consumption, thereby greatly reducing production costs.
