Schöttli Screw System
Disposable plastic syringes, needle holders, and other attachment components are often connected to the syringe using a standardized, simple tapered push-on connection (Luer connector). For more demanding applications – such as where safety requirements are more stringent – for example, luer lock screw connections provide more secure connection performance. Schöttli, a Swiss mold manufacturer acquired by Husky Injection Molding Systems in 2013, has developed a high-precision screw type Luer lock thread injection system for such injection syringes and other medical products. These systems are suitable for standard applications of internal screw threads, ensuring that extreme high-capacity demands from customers can be continuously met.
